Midwest Deciduous Tree ID
This talk was a big hit at the ISU Shade Tree Short Course in 2023!
Misidentifying a tree can lead to lots of trouble. Many pests and diseases are host specific. Many trees are only prone to one or two pests or diseases. With proper ID we can rule out all other trees and their problems. I start with the basics including an “old dog” trick that might cut your ID possibilities in half. Then we apply our new skills to two of the more difficult Genera (Quercus and Carya) and a few oddballs to keep it interesting. This 1-hour presentation will eventually evolve into a longer course and other Genera.
Cost: $600 for a 1-hour presentation plus travel and lodging if appropriate.

If requested, ISA Certified Arborists will receive CEUs. TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professionals will receive CTSP CEUs.
