INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY of ARBORICULTURE (ISA) ARBORIST CERTIFICATION PREPARATION COURSE

PROVEN - This course has been updated and improved every year since I developed it in the late 90’s. This is a proven course with dozens of students having passed the test. It not only prepares candidates for the certification test, but also discusses real world applications of the concepts and techniques presented.

THOROUGH - Each week one chapter of the ISA Arborist Certification Study Guide is thoroughly discussed as a PowerPoint presentation is delivered. Back and forth discussion is strongly encouraged. Weekly in-class review and an exhaustive final review is conducted.

PRECISE - As a long-time test proctor, I will discuss the ins and outs of the test and many tips to help the candidate navigate it. I will focus on topics most likely to be represented on the test and not on those less likely to be on it.

17 one-hour classes (1 chapter covered per class plus a review class)

Classes are held year round in Davenport, each fall/winter in Marion and Des Moines, IA. and additional locations whenever and wherever 10 or more students wish it to be held.

Students will need their own (or to share one) study guide and apply for the test through ISA at isa-arbor.com.

Cost is $500 per student (minimum 10 students to hold class) for the entire course. If after the entire course a student still does not feel prepared to test, they are welcome to attend additional classes at other location(s) for free until they feel fully prepared.
