ELECTRICAL HAZARDS AWARENESS PROGRAM - EHAP
In the 2017 updated ANSI Z133 significant changes were made in section 4 – Electrical Hazards. These changes to recognize three levels of qualification: the unqualified, the Incidental Line Clearance Arborist and Utility Line Clearance Arborist.
Additionally, OSHA 29CFR Part 1910.331—.335 requires that employers of residential/commercial tree workers who may be exposed to energized electrical conductors during normal tree care or urban forestry operations document that they provide appropriate electrical hazards training for their employees. Completion and documentation of this training satisfies that requirement.
This EHAP course is PART of the process to become Incidental Line Clearance Arborist or Utility Line Clearance Arborist. It attempts to clear up the confusion and documents your compliance with OSHA and ANSI.
