CHAINSAW SAFETY CLASS

While statistics are hard to find and likely under reported, we all know someone (possibly ourselves?) who has been injured by a chainsaw. Regardless of our experience and / or confidence, chainsaw injuries can and do happen to those who use them regularly.
It`s hard to believe, but some of us use chainsaws regularly despite having received little or no formal training on their operation and maintenance. Arborist Career’s Chainsaw Safety Course is designed to train you and or your employees in safe and efficient chain saw operation. The course is classroom and outdoor hands on.
The course covers:
  • Basic chainsaw anatomy
  • Basic chainsaw maintenance
  • Correct PPE for chain saw operators
  • Reactive forces
  • Communication for crew, fellers, climbers, and bucket operators
  • Hazard awareness – site and tree inspections

Benefits for employees:

Completion of this training prepares employees with tools for working safely with chain saws which may lead to a raise and / or promotion.

Benefits for employers:

This course may reduce injuries and insurance rates. It discusses, directs and documents compliance with
ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards.
Cost: $1300 for a 4-hour class plus travel and lodging if appropriate.

We can present at your location or ours in the Quad City area.
If requested, ISA Certified Arborists may receive CEUs. TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professionals
may also receive CTSP CEUs.
